The latest buzz on the internet food blogs is that Baja Fresh is now offering "Baja Kogi" Tacos and Burritos in their test location in Irvine at the corner of Alton & Jefferey (Thanks Kimbo for the scoop and the link!). A quick Google search comes up with multiple hits, but mostly bad-mouthing Baja Fresh for picking on a mom & pop start-up and whispers of trademark infringement fill the comment boxes.
I was able to check out Baja's version today with my coworker. As far as taste goes, they're very similar if not spot-on. At least, i can't tell the difference. I thought they were really good and my co-worker LOVES them. In fact, he likes them so much that we're going back tomorrow =P. I recommend NOT getting the platter that comes with rice and beans and just getting the tacos a la carte.
While i do think it's somewhat unfair for a major chain to seemingly pick on small business or even capitalize on someone else's idea, i for one would MUCH rather go to Baja for some deliciously yummy Kogi tacos (which actually cost less and can get in a reasonable amount of time) than search for the truck location on Twitter, then drive to wait in line, outside, in the cold/heat for 3 hours for a damn taco made from a truck. I really hope the Baja Kogi Taco/Burrito make it out of the test location and into all their stores.

Lotsa Stuffs
Need to ketchup ( ;P ) on stuff that has happened, but don't remember everything.
Weekend up in Camarillo and Oxnard Beach with friends. Road trip! Outlet shopping, dead pigeon (EW!), booked a smoking hotel room (FAIL), hot tub with no towels (FAILx2), Pooptastic hotel "Happy-hour" with jerk server who demanded tip, overcast weather and cold as fvck at the beach. Good times at Souplantation. 2nd day at beach was much better, but windy. Made do. Long drive back home. Worst hotel ever, but good memories with friends.
Sara started 3rd grade without a hitch! Short week. Took Tuesday off to help her set up her classroom. Late Thursday night fireworks run with Fungus, Pook, Kimbo, and Sara, then Tasty Garden around midnight. I also had to hide from cops while sitting in the trunk section of Fungus' 4Runner. Friday of nothing-ness except grilling two sirloins for dinner and a failed hangout attempt with the gang. Saturday 4th of July bbq with Sara's Dad and then off to drug my dog with tranquilizers before heading off to the Fungus 4th of July party + fireworks. Sunday shopping at the Citadel (Saw LJ and G there too).
Tonight, walking/jogging at Almansor with Kimbo and wifey.
Ok, back to work!

Oh and i forgot that it was also Charlie's birthday on Monday. We share the same birthday since that was the day he came back with us to be a part of our family, not to mention we don't know his real one. So we share :)

PEBKAC
So i'm walking back from another user's desk and one of the company trainers stops me and says, "I sent (the office maintenance mgr) an email half an hour ago and he said he never got it." I walk into her office and hit Ctrl+Alt+Del to unlock her PC. I have her type in her password and then the screen comes up with the email in question on her screen.
