So i get a letter package in the mail today, and it's from Morgan Stanley. Apparently New Century's 401k plan with JP Morgan is ending, so to help it's current and former employees rollover, Morgan Stanley has sent packages to help.
When i open the letter, this is what i find:
Ofcourse the real letter found stuffed between brochures wasn't as colorful, i still found this to be quite amusing. It's ok though... i already rolled my 401k out of the NCEN plan. So i'm good :)
UPDATE: Ok,i found out who did it. But it was someone close and i'm the only one who got the letter, LOL! Although it would've been hilarious had this really been an attempt to slander the company... like there's anything else to say about NCEN =P

I guess this will be a slightly extended version since i haven't updated with what's been going on... (caution... this is gonna get long)
So my Prelude has been on the fritz for a while. It's kinda sad since it's the first car that i can call my own. Call it cheezy, but it's also the car i unofficially/officially met Sar (in person) in. The transmission died and was rebuilt and shortly after, the speed sensor went out. I just did the brakes and got an oil change. So far the repairs have cost about $2,000. Too much money for a car that may not be around within the coming months. I've decided it's time to part the car and then either sell it or trade it in for something. Maybe a Scion xB as i need something fuel economic and with enough space to haul around PC's from location to location as my job will require it down the line. Although i hate the look of the new ones.
Wedding planning is coming along. Looks like we've (read: Sar) has gotten most of the major parts down. We still have a ton of work to do though. We still need to get a cake, tuxedos for me and my groomsmen/woman (dress for her), and other stuff that i don't even want to think about.
The most stressful part of my life right now is trying to find the right house for both me and my furture wife. I know what Sar is gonna say, but she was right when i thought it wasn't going to be a big deal. It's harder than i thought to find something decent, especially with the amount of money homes go for nowadays. I'm kinda glad that prices are somewhat falling. We've found some relatively cheap homes, but not in the best neighborhoods. We're still looking.
Finding a lender is equally as challenging. We're desperately trying to fit into some kind of first-time home-buyer program, but our combined incomes push us over the limit and if i try to qualify myself, i can't get more than $425k. That will get me a cardboard box in Beverly Hills.
Jason turned 26 on Sunday. Happy Birthday! HoHo, Sar, and i took him to see Wicked! at the Pantages. It was a good show. Interesting twist on the Wizard of Oz. Kinda makes you wonder who the bad-guys really were. People rave about it and i have friends that have seen it 5 times. I dunno... i enjoyed it, but i don't see myself going again. After the show we met up with his roommate "C" and her S.O. "J" out in Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica where we had sushi at "Monsoon". Food wasn't bad, but expensive for what it was and HoHo found a hair in her Pad Thai. Nice. She got a new plate and her food comped. Called it a night afterwards (8pm) since it was a work night. How old are we???
Work is good. Somewhat slow, but it's nice. I'm learning a lot more than i did at New Century and they're also sending me to get Microsoft Certified. I may just end up sticking around with this company for a while. Good people here.
I think that's about it... oh and i washed/detailed my G yesterday for 3.5 hours. My arms and back are sore. But the car is nice and clean :)
