----- Gamestop has the micro for only $49.99!!! DOOD! I just might buy it myself. Wonder if i can find the Play-yan for cheaper... and free shipping...
So potentially... this could turn into a ~$100 MP3/Movie player!!!

I haven't driven the G in almost 3 weeks. It's been sitting in the garage collecting dust (literally... it's spot is next to the washer/dryer). Driving that car to me is like girls needing to shop.
Yah. It's that bad.
I don't care if you think i'm crazy.
All i know is that right now... i'm happy. :)

So i think i'm really gonna like it here. It's a small company of about 400 users total. Been around since the 70's (as separate entities and then a merger in the 80's). And i actually like my manager.
So most of what i did today was check out the place, build my brand new chair, and put together my PC (Core 2 Duo! with Dual Screens!).
Also did a few helpdesk tickets and made myself at home by setting up my workspace.
Although the down side is that i may have lost my phone =( I'm hoping it just happened to slip out in my managers car while going out to lunch, but i won't find out until tomorrow. I hope it's there... all those phone numbers =( *crosses fingers*
Will report again tomorrow!

So i guess i haven't done one of these for a while. Guess i'll fill everyone in on what's been up with me...
Wedding plans are slowly coming together. Sara's managing the wedding blog here. I'm not allowed to look since she posted pics :p We still need a DJ, photographer, florist, tux rentals, and a slew of other little miscellaneous things.
The plan to buy a house has come to a crashing halt. We both realized we don't have the money for a down payment and most likely won't be able to get any help. So i think we may need to start looking for an apartment soon. Not exactly a bad thing, but still not a house.
My Prelude's transmission died. $1400 later it's still a little shakey, but it has a 1 year warranty on it, so i'm gonna drive the crap out of it until it does die. That and the G35 needs new tires... so she's been sitting in the garage for the last two weeks. Oh well... less mileage.
Mom is finally home after a 1.5 month long trip to China. It's funny how she left that day, called the next and said she was home.... then we didn't hear from her until the day before she came back... saying she was coming back. Guess she had fun.
Met up with Johnny over the weekend. Spent some time with him on his graduation day for RN schooling. Hit up a bar and a club later that night. Good times.
Need to get back in touch with friends. Hard though since saving money takes priority, but i do miss seeing friends.
That's the big joke at the office. People make tons of references to the Titanic and the funny thing is the people who are spear-heading the project to close shop have nicknamed it by the same fateful ship.
I guess you can say I got lucky and got off the ship before it totally tanked. Today is the start of my last 5 days at the company. It was fun while it lasted. I made a ton of friends and learned a lot. Hope everyone still there after I'm gone will be lucky enough to find something else.
One thing's for sure... i hope the captain sinks with the ship. (Someone's gotta go to jail for this....)

So i didn't want to announce the job until i got it for sure. So now that the ink is dry and the background check and drug test came back clean...
I HAVE A NEW JOB!!!
In two weeks i'll be working for Sares-Regis basically doing the same thing i do now, except their IT department is made up of only 7 people.... with me being the 7th. Bad thing is more work... but the good thing is that i'll have more exposure to other aspects of the IT world so i can expand my knowledge and flexibility.
So i went in for the 2nd interview yesterday, which was setup last minute so went with what i had worn into work. By interview standards, what i wore wasn't entirely acceptible: Black slacks, unpressed yellow dress shirt with the top button unbuttoned, black shoes with a hole in the left shoe, and my work badge (because i forgot to take it off).
After 45 minutes of me telling them what i do... again... i leave praying that i got the job.
