I started May 11, 2003. They started me doing installs for Merrill Lynch and then put me on the WaMu contract doing work for the branch offices. After doing that for a month, i was on the Deskside team in Northridge. After about 8 months, they boot me off the contract and i found myself doing work for the branch offices again. Then i go to Honeywell for 2 days, and then i was supposed to start work for Candle Co., but that got pushed back.
So here we go... BACK on the WaMu account. It's kinda funny... keyword: kinda. Today's date: May 27, 2004. I've been here since Monday. JUST over a year. Why am i back? Well... to begin with, i left because there were too many techs so they wanted to make some cuts. Now there is a SEVERE shortage of techs. (Can you say DUH?!) So much in fact, there aren't any techs available to come and help out.
So for all those that wanna work for big gigantic corporations: Do you still wanna???
I started the Honeywell account at the beginning of this week, but it was very short lived. On my second day, one of the managers told me they wanted a regular employee as opposed to a supplemental employee (that's me) because they don't see the point in training and then having me replaced by someone else later down the line.
Damn IBM... they should hire me permanent already.
So for most of the week, i was back on vacation. I did attend an all-day meeting yesterday at Candle Co. I'm going to be helping them transition, but the date for that got pushed back... AGAIN. So here we go with another week of no work. =P
So now that i'm not needed yet, guess where i'm going? Back to WaMu! Kinda funny how that works. First they get rid of employees cuz there were too many... now they're in desperate need of people cuz there's too much work and not enough techs.
I shall repeat...
Damn IBM... they should hire me permanent already.

I guess it was bound to happen. Until today, the 210 and the 118 freeways have been VERY good to me... i've never been more than 15 minutes late due to traffic delays. In California, whenever you drive on the freeway for more than 10 miles, being less than 15 minutes late is absolutely amazing (Especially since i drive 53 miles to work everyday).
Last week 3 Big rigs stopped the 5 freeway. Today one man forces a freeway to shut down and cause surounding surface streets to jam up. I was smart enough to get off the 118 W and take the 405 S and exited Roscoe Blvd. and go all the way down to Topanga Canyon Rd to get back on the 118 W. Apparently some guy woke up this morning and decided he felt like jumping off the Reseda Blvd. overpass at 6:45am. He managed to shut down the freeway until about 11:30am - 12pm. I was only about an hour late to work. I found out one of my old co workers from the WaMu account didn't get to work until 10am because he decided to go all they way through the closure. He left at 6:30am too =X
But just because i got to work doesn't mean i didn't have any road rage. While i was on Roscoe Blvd., i needed to merge since cars were parked in the #3 lane. I was also behind a bus, and the bus was able to merge. As i signaled and started inching into the lane, this b*tch in a light blue 98 Nissan Altima kept moving forward, making it obvious she wasn't gonna let me in. As i looked at her from my window, she kept glancing at me out of the corner of her eye. Eventually i just rolled down my window and yelled, "C'mon lady! Be nice!" I didn't wanna curse at her since she didn't really HAVE to let me in. So i was able to squeeze in behind her. Then this F*cking a$$hole of a chinaman in a 2003 Camry starts honking like there's no tomorrow. But my nose is already sticking in so he has no choice but to let me in. So i waved my hands out and he kept honking. So as traffic started moving i was able to start going and slam on my brakes. That scared him. He honked one last time and i gave him the bird. He stayed back until the light turned red again and he merged into the right turn lane behind the bus. He made it a point to stay a little behind me so i wouldn't be able to see him. Too bad for him, he moved up too much. I kept staring at him, but the p*ssy kept staring straight ahead. Damn chinaman.
