Parents took me out to dinner tonight. The table next to us started singing happy birthday (in a super fobby tone, i might add) and the waiters brought out a cake. They placed on a cake a pair of numbered candles that read "28". I was like hey! That's me! Then the waiters realized who they were celebrating and switched the numbers. :P
Happy Birthday to you too fobby grandma that i don't know!

So Sar's family bought me a brand new charcoal bbq grill as an early birthday/housewarming gift. Since yesterday was father's day, i decided to grill up some steaks, chicken, and shrimp for both side of the family.
No pictures of the turnout, but everyone seemed to like the steaks i grilled up. The chicken was a bit dry and the shrimp was a bit over cooked, but everything still turned out great.
I'm on my way to becoming a bbq grill master ( =P ), but cleaning the damn thing is a b*tch.

Being an annual pass-holder has its benefits as we had the opportunity to enter a drawing to be one of the first to ride the new Toy Story Midway Mania ride at the Disney's California Adventure. While Sar nor myself were able to win, Sar's cousin Ria got 4 passes and along with her friend Yoli, invited Sar and I!
Our time slot was last night (6/9/08) between the hours of 4pm - 9pm, so we all met there around 7pm after work. We got our tickets and when we got in line, we were excited to hear that we could ride as many times as we wanted until the park closed at 9pm! The line was only 20 minutes long!! I can't even begin to imagine how long this line is going to be when the ride officially opens on June 17th.
This ride is SO MUCH FUN! Unfortunately i forgot to bring my camera, but you have a toy cannon with a pull string trigger in front of you, you put on your 3D glasses (a la Michael Jackson's Captain EO and Honey I Shrunk the Audience) and your car traverses through a series of 3D screens where you fire at targets to rack up points.
We were able to hop on 3 times and wished we could've went on at least a couple more times. My point totals were somewhere around 130K, 175k, and 140k respectively (i wasn't really trying on the 3rd time around as i was trying to figure out where the high-scoring targets were).
I used to think California Adventure wasn't worth the cost for the quality of attractions that were there. But now with California Screamin', Hollywood Tower of Terror, Soarin' Over California, Grizzly River Run, and Toy Story Midway Mania it's starting to become a major contender to the original park.

So our dog is finally back in the house with us. The dog run i ordered from Petco.com finally came after a month and a half wait. After spending 3 hours with Sar's dad putting it together, Sar realizes that Charlie has separation anxiety. As soon as we put him in, he starts to whine and tries to get out. The dog follows us no matter where we go, even if it's to the bathroom. We never noticed this problem until recently, only because we're having a really hard time with leaving him alone when we need to go out. It's mentally draining and is putting a strain on both of our sleep schedules. Hopefully we can train him out of it.
