My left jaw had been bothering me for the better part of the last two months. It first started hurting when i bit down on a pita chip and i felt my jaw pop. At the time i shrugged it off and just started chewing on the right side.
Fast forward a few weeks and the pain worsens to the point that it's getting hard to chew and i would rather swallow large chunks of food rather than chew the rest of the way.
I finally decide to go see the dentist (last Tues) about my wisdom teeth and she suggests i get them extracted. All 4 were erupted and it's better to get them out sooner rather than later. Thursday i get all 4 yanked. Local anesthesia only. It really wasn't as bad as i was expecting. I couldn't feel anything, but when they started drilling, the smell of burning teeth and blood was quite disgusting.
30 minutes later, i was done and my cheeks were twice their size. The top two came out with relative ease. The two on the bottom however had 3 roots each and they were curving inward like a claw. When the oral surgeon was pulling, two roots on each tooth broke off. That's when he had to drill to get them out, which royally sucked.
For the next 2-3 days the bulk of my nutrition came in the form of rice porridge. I'm not complaining though as it helped me lose a whopping 12 lbs! Today i'm back to semi regular food. Just staying away from hard/chewy foods. Still at -10 lbs. though :)
