42 year history - 2002 Champs

Monday (10/21): I went to sleep at 6am that morning cuz i had to finish my ICS52 requirements specification due at 2pm. I was sick most of the weekend and slept early Saturday nite (11am) and woke up Sunday morning at 11am. I spent the ENTIRE day working on the paper. After finishing around 5am, i had to finish filling out my application for Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) which is an Economics honor society. I'm pretty sure I made it in since both my major GPA and overall GPA meet the requirements. All i need now is an acceptance notification and to pay $60 for membership =P It's ok... it'll look good on m resume. I had to wake up by 9am to get to school since the application was already late (it was due last friday).

Tuesday (10/22): Nothing out of the ordinary... just a regular school day. I was late to class (as usual). Traffic isn't bad. It's the parking situation. There seriously isn't enough parking around campus. Places where parking is available is out in the boonies.

Wednesday (10/23): Couldn't sleep in cuz i wanted to attend the UCI career fair. I wanted to get there by 10:30am but as we all know... i never wake up in time. I ended up getting there around 11:45am. Johnny had already been there for a good half-hour and was going around talking to recruiters. I made about 10 copies of my resume. I think i only handed out about 6. I talked to Wells Fargo, Delloite Consulting, Unisys, Microsoft, ICTP, and one other that i don't remember =P. Microsoft grilled me hardcore. The wait to talk to a recruiter was about 20 minutes and when it was my turn, the recruiter asked if i had taken the Software Engineering class at UCI, ICS52. I'm taking that right now. So i told him how it was pretty interesting and all that BS, so he was like, "Cool... so what if i asked you to design a 1000 Disc CD changer?" I was like... WTF??? Long story short... i don't think i impressed him much. I think Melody got a few good leads, but after i told her about what Microsoft did to me, she decided not to bother, LOL!

Thursday (10/24): The day seemed to take forever in anticipation to go to Knott's Scary Farm 30th anniversary. My discussion that i normally have from 5-6pm got cancelled so i was able to have lunch with Sarah and then head home early to relax a bit. I hadn't washed my car in about a month so i did that before heading over to John's place to meet up with Josephine and her friend Payal (I'm not sure if this is the correct spelling... SORRY!). John ended up not going since he had an interview the following morning so it was just us three meeting up Sunny and Minah. We were running late (Sorry Sunny) so we didn't get to eat dinner. We went through the park on an empty stomach... which wasn't necessarily a bad thing since we went on Extreme Scream. That was a crazy ride. I had no idea Sunny was a big ass PUSSY (cat). It's cool tho. A lot of people are scared of heights and that ride takes you up SUPER high. Too bad Josephine didn't wanna go up. Guess she's not the type that likes to play with the idea of putting yourself in position where you could die =P. It was a really fun night. Got freaked out and got to kno Josephine better. Twas fun. Super hungry... but fun. We ate at JJ's Cafe afterwards.

Friday (10/25): Again... needed to wake up early for an On Campus Interview (OCI) orientation. It wasn't worth my time since all they did was show us how to update our profiles and submit a resume through MonsterTRAK.com. The main reason is because i needed to activate my InterviewTRAK account. I met up with the guys later on that nite and watched "Jackass - the movie." That was the most retarded movie i have EVER seen.... IT WAS HILARIOUS! Twisted, demented, sick, etc. Still funny.

Saturday (10/26): Again... needed to get up early. Not for the weekly basketball games, but to drive down to Anaheim for an info session at ICTP. I felt like a stiff since i was the only one wearing a suit. Everyone else was just wearing shirt and tie. I didn't kno anyone there until Melody spotted me. That was pretty cool. I thought i was gonna go through this all by myself, but i had a friend! After the info session, i stuck around with Mel to talk to one of the recruiters. He seemed like he liked us, so i'm gonna have to submit an essay talking about why i should be picked to work there. Sounds good. Hope me and Mel get the job. After the info session i headed out to the Irvine Hilton for a career fair Sar told me about. Not too many companies but it was ok. Got to practice my interviewing skills.

I am so friggin tired. I came home around 1, ate lunch and knocked out for 6 hours from 2-8pm. So i guess you can say i'm wide awake right now. I have so much crap to do. I have 19 more articles and summaries to write for my ICS131 class due on Tuesday and two midterms this week, both for my ICS classes. *sigh*

Rayguns won! Wooohooo! Well... not much for me to celebrate since i didn't go. But they only had 5 players today. Half the team either couldn't make it or just didn't show up. Not bad guys! The team consisted of only John, Pooks, Sunny, Calvin, and Howard. Guess they don't need the rest of the team. =P So it's one victory out of 4 so far. Three more games.... can we win the rest? *crossing fingers*

Dang this blog got long fast. I'm gonna go back to reading. I gotta finish this by tomorrow... (yah....right....).

I kno it's a day late... i'm SUPER sorry, but i have so much crap to do.
