I distinctly remember saying i didn't want a party for my 25th birthday. I also remember all i wanted to do was have a quite dinner. And i KNOW i remember i said i didn't want to get drunk.
--Saturday-- FINALLY got my tires on my rims at Costco. They came out ok. Guess it's kind of anticlimactic going from a set of 18" Bronze Volk TE37's to 16" Rota Slipstreams, but whatever. It's something different.
Stopped by for Annie's graduation party and had some food. Also walked with Sar over to HoHo's house to pick up Charlie (She was doggie sitting). Dang that dog is hyper. Walked him home where all of Annie's friends jumped at the opportunity to play with the dog.
Left for home to change for Bea's birthday bar outing. Was supposed to get there by 9pm, but HoHo was lagging. Finally got there at around 10pm and walked in on my very own Surprise 25th Birthday Karaoke party with most of my friends. (Oops! Sorry for getting mad at you HoHo! You're still a loser, BTW). Didn't want to sing at first, but after a few drinks, it was over. I took the mic in hand and started singing and dancing to a few songs. Bet that got enough laughs and pictures to blackmail me for years to come... possibly up until my half a century birthday? Ended the night happy and drunk. Thanks to Charity, Serena, Steven, Bob, Sandy, Jeremy, Jason A., Irv, Esther, Amie, Darren, Leo, and Carlos for comin' out to celebrate with me. And a special thank you to Sar, J, and HoHo for making it that much more special. You guys are truly my best friends to put together something like this for me. I love you guys.
--Sunday-- Woke up late Sunday and drove over to Sar's apartment to help her move out. SO much stuff. I don't even think there's that much stuff in MY room. But then again, she had half her room and her share of the apartment to store everything. Took two vans and one car to move everything... not including the trips she's been making with her her own car during the week. Finished up by 5pm and headed home to get ready for my planned dinner at "Damon's Steakhouse" in Glendale.
Great restaurant for steak. The reviews weren't lying when they gave it an above 9.0 rating. It's definately an older crowd setting, but the food is delicious. If you go, try the Tenderloin (OH SO GOOD!). The chicken is very juicy and tender as well. My sister bought me a "Damon's" hat, which i will start wearing and we also stole a bunch of placemats, business cards, napkins and whatever else we could find with my name on it. Thanks to Sandy, Jeremy, Nhan, Vy, Kris, Serena, Charity, Steven, Lynette, J, and Sar for comin' out. Good food for all. Thank you for spending your sunday night with me, but a big :middle finger: to all of you for not letting me pay. Grr. It was supposed to be MY treat. I'll get all of you at some point.
I think that's good enough for now. More later when something interesting happens.

25 years and counting...
Quarter of a century. Dang. What a number. Seems like such a big number... at least when i was 5. Back then, i couldn't have even imagined what i would be doing on my 25th birthday.
Well... let's see what i did today:
I went to work, at lunch at my desk (Two frozen burritos), and got punched 25 times by one of my coworkers. Greatness. I know.
But the highlights include getting happy birthday wishes from Sar, Hoho, J, and Sandy, my sis bought me "Bomberman" for the Nintendo DS, and my mom cooked her pork chops for me for dinner. YUM!
Uneventful, but exactly how i wanted it to be. It really isn't a big deal. I'm just more tired than anything.
What i really want is SLEEP.

So my birthday is next week...
if anyone cares... i'm turning 25. Quarter of a century, baby! What do i have to look forward to? An insurance break! WOOT! *twirls finger*
Anywhoo... i wanna try "Damon's Steakhouse" in Glendale. Apparently it's one of Southern California's best steakhouses. It's fairly reasonably priced and it's a casual atmosphere (Hawaiian). Sounds interesting, especially since i share a name with the establishment.
Anyone care to join? I'm planning on going next sunday around 6ish?

Hospitals suck
My sis is back in there. She has her kidney biopsy today. Hope all goes well. She plans to be back tomorrow. Hope it stays that way.
