Taking a moment
Another week comes and goes. Weeks tend to pass rather quickly these days. I have a distinct memory from 3rd grade, when i looked at the date written in yellow chalk up on the chalkboard and thinking to myself, "Wow, this year is going by fast!"
When Sar and i first became "official", all i could think about was hoping this relationship will work and go on for at least a short while (as most of my experiences have been). Now it's been over a year and it still feels like i've fallen in love for the very first time. Even still, i feel like i don't spend enough time with her. Truly, there needs to be more hours in a day.
I think it has a lot to do with society and growing up. As a kid, i wished i was all grown up and not bound by rules. Now i want to go back to being a kid, when life was simpler and slower and not bound by even MORE rules. Ironic, isn't it?
Life kinda rushes by us in a flurry of experiences, faces, and things. I feel like i need to slow down and enjoy life more. The last time i actually did that was when Sar took me to see snow for the first time out in Palm Springs. That's the last time i can remember when i really sat down and enjoyed being where i was and not trying to get to the next item off my "To-Do" list.

New Toys...
In the undying quest to rice-ify my Prelude, i have bought and installed a few items to set apart my car from the rest:
-JDM Honda Access Fog Lights w/ Narva Gold Ion Yellow Bulbs
-OEM Honda Front lip spoiler
-Cleared rear turn signals
--Reb bulbs in signals
--Hyperwhite (they're blue) in reverse lights
-Color matched rear skirt and rear mudguards
-Razo Aluminum Pedals (from Sar)
-OEM "PRELUDE" Floormats (as opposed to my beige Acura ones =P)
While i try to set my car apart from the rest of the world... it's kinda funny how i've already seen two other White preludes with a setup VERY similar to mine. The first time was when me and Sar were walking around at the Cabazon outlets and the second time was when i was driving home from work. I think i need to buy some more stuff. =P

After watching Mona Lisa Smile with Sar on Saturday, we decided we wanted to eat at Pat & Oscar's. We walk through the doors at 9:30pm and realize our $5 off coupon was better than our 20% off if you show your AMC ticket stub. We ran back to the car and grabbed the ticket and by the time we came back it was 9:40pm. As we walk up ready to order, the girl at the front said, "We're closed." I didn't notice cuz i was looking at the menu. Sar nudged me and repeated what the waitress had said. A little confused i blurted out, "You're closed?" and the girl nodded, yes. So we start walking out. At the door we passed by another couple walking in. I wanted to tell them that they were closed, but i didn't say anything. Sar looked back and noticed they were welcomed and their orders were taken. WTF?! The reason why me and Sar are so pissed is because we just can't figure out why our business was turned away. We can't label it discrimination, cuz the waitresses were asian as well as the couple that walked in after us. If we were turned away because we were asian... then that's one thing because we know why they did it... but we don't! If it was meant as a joke... then why didn't she say she was kidding and why didn't the other girl say something and run after us after we started walking away?
Sar called the manager after we got back to the car and filed a complaint. Didn't sound like the manager cared much. I just submitted an online comment card on their website and i indicated that i wanted a reply. Let's see what they have to say.
Oh and about dinner... we ended up at T.G.I. Friday's instead. Best damn dinner i ever had.... bitches (referring to the girls at Pat & Oscar's).
