So two funny little stories happened yesterday and today:

First funny story (yesterday):
It turns out that yesterday during my field work at Wilson Elementary, I got Ricardo again! He's a good kid and i'm glad i got to work with him again. But the funny story isn't about him. After all the kids left, the tutors stayed behind for an informal meeting. Steph started talking about her kid, Brian, who is a 5th grader. She started telling us how he's a pretty smooth kid because after working for a while, he disappeared. When Steph went to see where he went, she saw him had a flower to a girl outside the classroom. Pretty suave, eh? Wait... it gets better. After a little while, Brian disappears again for about 30 minutes. Not wanting to embarass Brian, Steph sent Juan to see where he went. When Juan came back he told her, "Yah, he's scamming with his girlfriend." So Steph walks over there and right when they saw her, all of them scatter. Steph was running after them yelling at them to not cross the street. After coming back, Steph confronts two girls that stayed behind asking them if they knew who Elaine was. The girl standing there with a flower in her hand was obviously Elaine, but instead started giving Steph attitude, snapping her head back and forth, waving her hands saying, "There ain't no Elaine here. I dunno who you talking about. I don't know no Elaine." And i thought everyone had cooties in Elementary school. I didn't even know what "scamming" meant until sometime in Jr. high!

Second funny story (Today):
I woke up late this morning so i totally missed the Business Management career fair at UCI. Oh well... my fault. I needed a new toothbrush, but there weren't any in the bathroom drawers. So i asked my mom and she told me they were in the cabinets in the garage. Now if you've been to my house, you'd kno that the left side of the garage is taken up by these huge wooden cabinets. Because of the amount of space they take in my little 2-car garage, i have to park my car backwards just so both cars will fit inside the garage and have room for both cars to open the driver-side door. Well, before i lowered my car, none of the cabinets could be opened since the car sat a little high so the doors would hit the roof of the car, but since i lowered it, the top doors of the cabinet clear the top of the car by an inch. So lowering my car has an added bonus =P

I guess that's it for now. It's almost 2pm and i gotta get ready for class at 3pm. Long day today. Promised i'd meet up with some friends that i haven't seen for a long time too. Until next time...

The Life of an Egg

If you think life is bad...How would you like to be an egg?
* You only get laid once.
* You only get eaten once.
* It takes 4 minutes to get hard.
* Only 2 minutes to get soft.
* You share your box with 11 other guys.
* But worst of all...
The only chick that ever sat on your face was your mother. So cheer up...Your life ain`t that bad! Pass it around to someone who you feel can use a good lay, i mean day

Here we go with the blogging slump again. This always happens. I blog a lot for a while and then at some point, it just dries up to about once every week or so. Oh well.

Lots of stuff has been going on. Friday night i got out of class and went directly to Puente Hills mall to meet up with the Crew plus Gregg. I was still dressed in my gym clothes, but i really didn't care. Kinda cold tho. We had dinner at the Boat, which is a Thai-chinese restaurant and ended up playing basketball at Schurr (our old High school) till about 1:30am. Hahha.. kinda crazy, huh fellas? =P

I spent Saturday with the gf and took out the sib and her bf. Spent the morning washing my car for another prelude meet at the Industry IKEA parking lot. It was pretty boring and then the cops came =X. Luckily they were cool about it and just asked us to leave. We still got some pictures in tho. Before the meet, we all went to watch Just Married. It was a pretty good movie. Not great, but not bad. Go rent it. Watch it with your girlfriend. =) After the meet, the sib mentioned she wanted to try out Speedzone since she's never been. I got her and her bf to race on the slick track, while me and Sar watched from the side. The sib's bf is actually pretty fast. He actually got the fastest time on the track. The sib however is the slowest race car driver in the world. The whole point of the slick track is to be able to slide. I didn't see her slide once. =P

We ended the night with dinner at Frisco's where Sar ordered a Vege burger. She got full really quick so i decided to try it. Let me just say it's interesting. That's all i'll say =)

Me and Sar topped off the night watching Anastasia and some TV. =)

Sunday was spent playing Ball with the guys, eating pizza, and drinking Mango flavored soda, which actually tastes like Cactus cooler... hmmmm... I fell asleep watching the Raiders game and the bastards put their nasty ass socks in front of me. Assholes.

Monday was spending more time with Sar. I went out with ther to Santa Monica so she would kinda get used to the city since she's covering that area for her journalism class. We spent some quality time on the beach and watched the sun set. Strolled the pier and left to have dinner at the Olive Garden.

Tuesday was my first day of tutoring at Wilson Elementary in Costa Mesa. My kid was a 7 yr old boy named Ricardo. He was shy at first, but was really social after playing about an hour's worth of Pokemon Sorry the boardgame. It was pretty fun. I hope i get another 7 yr old. Their so much easier to work with than older ankle biters. =P

This blog is getting kinda long so i'll stop here for now. This is pretty much all the interesting stuff i have to say anyway. Until next time....

Freaking-A i'm so tired. Stayed up pretty late last nite finishing my reading for today, which i didn't finish. Around 5am i decided to just skim. And then i just kinda gave up. Traffic was horrible on the 405 today. It was backed up from the 22. So basically i had 15 minutes to get to class where the amount of time i would needed to travel in normal traffic is 15 minutes. So yah... i was 15 minutes late to class. No big deal though. Professor is cool. We watched "Lean On Me" with Morgan Freeman. Really good education themed film. Rent it if you haven't seen it. I highly recommend it.

As of right now i'm sitting in the Engineering Gateway computer lab. They don't allow us to download AIM here, but it's not like i came here to chat. Just checking email and blog my day thus far. I'm gonna hit up the ARC now. Still have class from 6-7pm. I don't give a sh*t if i'm all nasty and smelly. I'm tired and bored as .... yah...

To my babe: Miss you!

These past two days have been the best days i've had in a VERY long time. It's really amazing how one person can change your whole outlook on life. All of a sudden, all my problems just kinda... disappeared. Not to spoil the mood, but for all you "reality" folks, i do realize problems just don't go away and that i still have to deal with them. However... they're no longer occupying my mind. Life just seems more complicated and simpler at the same time.

I like it.

So school has finally started again. Three weeks of vacation is definately NOT enough time away. I realize i didn't do squat over break, other than spend a few weekends with the fellas and met up with several friends from high school for lunch/dinner on a few different occasions. New Years was kinda cool this year. Nice change of pace. Me, John, and Pooks went to Universal City Walk to ring in the new year. It was PACKED with people. We had a great time swimming through the huge crowd in the middle of the plaza =P. After 12:00AM, we drove back down and picked up a bottle of champagne and some beer to finish off the night at Elg's house. What else did i do..... lowered my car... helped Irv paint his brake calipers... xmas shopping... i dunno. So nothing really exciting.

This quarter i'll only have about 3 days of school. Tuesdays and Thursdays will be spent relaxing at home =). Acutally i have to start tutoring/playing with 6th graders at Costa Mesa Elementary. It's part of my Education minor requirement. I have to do a certain amount of field work before i complete the minor, so that'll be fun. Yah yah... i kno i've said i hate kids... i just hate the bad ones =P. We'll see what happens. I'll be sure to post about what happens here, since i have to keep a journal anyway.

I guess that's it for now. Been a lil drama in my life these past few days, but hopefully that'll get resolved soon enough. In anycase... i'm tired. 3 hour classes are no fun.
