Getting to the beach was kinda fun since Me, John, Aaron, and Andy were in one car and ended up totally missing the 5 frwy transition and going all the way down the 710 to Long Beach =P We shoulda just went my way... oh well.. we still got there. None of us went into the water since it was pretty cold even though the waves were HUGE!. We ended up napping most of the time and tossed the (flat) football around. Still fun =)

After the beach me John, Aaron, Ray, and Andy went back to John's house, called up Steve, and played some b-ball. Yay... got my exercise! When we were done, all 6 of us piled into John's "G-Ride" and rolled down to the Hat for dinner. Ah the memories from '98. I think last time we stuffed more than 8 people in that car. Let's just say that car has A LOT of trunk space =P. While we were leaving, I ran into Carrie and chatted for a bit. I haven't seen her in ages. She was Schurr HS c/o 97 and went to UCI for all those who are going "HUH?" We'll probably meet up for coffee and catch up sometime later. I miss her... she's cool =) I think the last time i saw her was something like a year ago during summer school... i had just parked my car and she was just pulling out of her parking stall. We chatted for a lil right inside the parking structure =P

Then it was off to Cyber-Hut with the fellas for a "Party".... a "LAN-Party". Yes... we are nerds. Star Craft and Counter-Strike fo life! So that basically sums up my Saturday. I start school in a week. Blah... i hate short breaks.

Thanks to all who showed up! Birthdays don't mean anything without friends and family to share it with. In reality, it's just another day on the calender and another tick on the clock of life. Seriously. It's so boring at home. At least at school there was stuff to do and people to see. So much more fun. All i do now is eat and sleep. There goes my diet. =X I can't wait till this saturday tho... turning 22 baby. Oh God i'm old. My back hurts right now too. I'm seriously having my midlife crisis right now. I want a Porsche =)

*sigh* nothing really worth blogging as i haven't done anything these past few days. Doesn't look like very many people read this blog anymore anyway. Ah wells. So goes my boring life.

I really thought i wasn't going to be able to wake up at 8am to make the 9am commencement at UCI. I didn't get home until 2:30am Saturday morning and didn't sleep until about 4am. Damn internet =X With a lil help (OK a lot of help) from my mom, i was able to get down to Irvine just in time to see the ceremonies start. The first one i went to was held in Aldrich Park for the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and School of Social Ecology. It was a nice ceremony... too bad it was FRICKEN HOT! While sitting there San and Cin spotted me in the crowd. Kinda cool considering i couldn't find anyone and they invited me to join them for the rest of the day.

Traffic was horrible while trying to leave the Bio Sci parking lot. It took us 30 min to move 2 feet and another 30 to get out. By the time we got back to Cin's apartment, it was already 1pm and Cin needed to be at her commencement at 2pm. It ended up only me, San, and Liane going out to eat. We made Cin's graduation commencement at 3pm in the Bren Events (ahhhhhh..... air conditioning =D ). Lots of screaming, lots of shouting, lots of air-horns, flying tortillas, a beach ball, and yes.... even a blow up doll. After tons of pictures we headed back to Cin's apartment for some last minute cleaning before we headed back to MPK.

At around 11pm me, Cin, San, Andy, Catherine, and Karina went out to Hollywood for some dancing at the Sunset Room. It's always more fun when there are girls in the group.. .esp when it's a 2:1 girl/guy ratio =P We stayed until about 2am and headed home.

All in all, even though it was a LONG day... it was a VEEERRY fun day/night out with my best friends from HS =)

Congratulations to Cin, Jenn, Rena, Shanna, Angela, Karina, Kelly, Jenny, Ali, Sarah, Brandon, Paul, Sabina, Ryan and to anyone else i missed. Thank you guys for everything and i hope to see you sometime soon! =)

I'm running out of options for fulfilling that requirement. Today i went to Rio Hondo College to register for a first year spanish course to "refresh" what i learned 5 years ago in high school. I had also found out that Irvine Valley College (IVC) was offering Spanish 3 which fulfilled the language requirement entirely... and enrollment was still open! I tried to register for the class, but found out there were prereqs that needed to be met. Long story short, i didn't get in so now i dunno what i'm gonna do. If i start spanish at UCI now, i'm never gonna graduate. 1a-1b-1c-2a is what i need to do if i don't do well on the placement exam, and i heard the test was impossible. =(

I need a miracle. Anyone got one to spare? *sigh* .... doesn't seem very optimistic at this point.

I fell asleep typing up my lecture notes and when i woke up Johnny and Pooky were at my door. They decided to pay me a visit since they were in the neighborhood. =P It's all good tho, cuz while they were behind me chatting, i was able to stay awake to finish up the rest of my lecture notes. Sunny came by as well, but i had to kick 'em all out by 12. It is finals week ya know.

Irvine, Calif., April 11, 2002 — UC Irvine's information and computer science graduate program moved up five places to No. 29 in the most recent U.S. News & World Report's academic rankings. In the last rankings released in 1999, the ICS doctoral program was tied for 34th.

Friday was such a waste of time. I only had one class at 10am but i had to stay on campus for a review session for my Education 50 class. Problem was the review wast at 6:30pm so i basically had 7.5 hours to kill. I spent 4 hours in the computer lab working on my project and chatting to a couple people online, spent about 30 min visiting Ape at work, about 45 min eating at In-n-out, spent about a hour buying the new Eminem album at Best Buy, and the rest of the time in the student center TV lounge watching/sleeping through the Boston/New Jersey game. All that time spent in Irvine and for what... a useless review session. *sigh* I left early and went home to watch the rest of the Laker/Kings game.

Already a bad day, it just seemed to get worse. About 5 minutes before the end of the game, i got a call from John saying his house was robbed. First thing that came to my mind was... "Why are you calling me?? Call the COPS!!!" I later found out he called me first b/c he was still outside the house and didn't know if the theif or theives were still in the house. Luckily there wasn't, but it looked like the robbers just took money and jewelry. I guess the important thing was that no one got hurt. After meeting up with Kel to drop off my parking permit for her to use, I spent the rest of the night practicing on his turntables.

Saturday Dave called me up and wanted to hang out with the rest of us. We were planning on going to watch Undercover Brother, but didn't since Elg and Pook had already seen it. We ended up playing a short game of 3 on 3 basketball and then going out to Bananna Boat in Hacienda to eat, which btw is a really good *cheap* place to eat.

Sunday was supposed to be for homework. HA... yah right. Kel came over to the house to return my parking permit. I was actually surprised she didn't get lost getting to my house, as most people do. =P After she left i got my hair cut and got a call from John to meet up to watch the Laker game. Good game btw =) After the game our old friend from HS and a couple of his buddies came to play some basketball. And here comes another bad day... well.. for injuries. First i get elbowed by John in the upper chest... kinda where my collar bone is (it still hurts). A little later John's foot started bleeding. Then Pook sprained his ankle, so i came back in to finish the game, but while going after a loose ball i tried to avoid falling on one of the other guys playing and ended up slipping on the ball and diving toward the gate. No... i didn't hit my head, but i landed pretty hard on my right hip so it kinda hurts when i walk. I'm pretty sure it's bruised. I can walk, but hurts when i step =P (Thank you for your sympathy Kel =P read: sarcasm if you didn't pick it up). My collar hurts too. Frick. Oh well... it's basketball. At least i didn't break anything and i still got a pretty good workout.

So starts today. Spanish at OCC starts at 5:30 and i'm in the computer lab till 4pm. I don't get out of spanish till 9:10pm. And then i'm gonna head back over here to try and work on my lab. Or not.. depending upon how i feel. Gosh... this is gonna be a long day/week. Finals week next week. *shoot me now*
