Alright...went shopping with Kelly so i got my gloves today! I bought the Gap "lambswool spacedye gloves" in black. I think they just marked down prices today, since last nite they were still $16.50 on Gap.com. They're $10 now. Woohoo! Not bad. Altho they're lambswool -- nice and warm... they're dry-clean only. =/ Oh well.. it's just gloves. I'll dry clean them every so often. Kelly picked up a couple items marked off too. Right on! Another hightlight of the day was that i was gettin really lucky with parking spaces. Parked pretty close to where ever we went. My score is ID-4577. I passed 'em all on the first try! WOO-HAA.. gotchu all in check!!! * * * * *The Senior Art Exhibit at UCI was pretty cool. Cindy had invited me to attend, so i did. I haven't seen her in a looooong time anyway, so i figured it was a good opportunity to say "HI" and catch up a lil. Although we didn't catch up very much... we were happy to see each other... took a few pictures together, and i called it a nite. I was getting really tired anyway. I also saw Angela there too. Actually caught up with her more than Cin. Tuesdays and Thursdays have been a drag all quarter. They days are long and the classes are back to back. Two 1 1/2 hour classes in a row isn't very much fun. So far the last few psych lectures i've attended i haven't been able to stay awake. I'd fall asleep for at least 15 minutes before getting back to (half) paying attention. I guess ICS is a little more important since i stay awake for that one...altho i do get restless. =/ Anyways... yah i was tired. The drive back is scary and tiring. Pooky knows what i'm talking about since he experienced it first-hand. It's a long drive. I almost fell asleep again while driving. I seriously need a cell phone so i can call someone to talk to during the trip back, but the odds of that happening are 1 to 2,243,432,423. Lovely odds huh? So i guess i'll just keep pumping the hardcore rap and slapping myself in the face every once in a while =/ * * * * *Tuesday, November 27, 2001Last week of regular classes before finals week. Time to start worrying! * * * * *Monday, November 26, 2001Pretty sure i pushed Kelly two extra steps up the male vs. female ladder when i told her what i'd found while reading my psych book. Pretty sure she's happy to be looking down on me too... hehe. We've been arguing about this for a while now... of course i'm defending the male population while she's on the female side. And the war comes down to basically who's better. Hahah... sorry fellas...maybe i'm not the one to be leading the war. Anyways.. here's what it said in the book: * * * * *Sunday, November 25, 2001Stupid rain! I woke up early today too (1030am) just so i could go to the preludeonline.com BBQ meet and at least have something to do on a Saturday. I thought it wasn't gonna rain cuz the forecasts at 3am said it was only gonna be partly cloudy. Damn weather forcasters. They're as accurate as a drunk blind man, throwing darts at a target 100 yards away while riding on a rollercoaster going 100 mph... (don't ask, i'm just rambling). Anyways... i didn't go =/ Stayed home all day. In fact..i'm still in my PJ's that i wore last nite! * * * * *Saturday, November 24, 2001My sleep schedule is all messed up again. I went to sleep around 4am and woke up at 1:30pm. I think i'll wake up early tomorrow... 10:30am sounds reasonable. Well... all the guys are in Vegas now. They all left in Sunny's car around 11am. I didn't go cuz #1) i hate gambling, #2) i hate walking inside the casino cuz it's full of cigarette smoke, #3) i don't feel like sleeping on the nasty floor again like last time, and the list goes on, but those are the main reasons. Oh yah... i also have finals in a week =/ I gotta start studying. Think i'll do that tomorrow. I met up with Sandy again today. She felt like chinese food so i took her to the chinese restaurant my family always goes to. We had the Fried Fillet of Fish with Garlic Sauce, Spicy fried Squid, and Sweet and Sour Pork. After dinner we walked over next door to Tapioca Express and started to catch up on our lives for a while. I got a Green Apple snow bubble... no boba (how i like it). When i came home, i decided to fry some brain cells so i started watching Adam Sandler's "Big Daddy" on TV. =) Good movie. I dunno about the whole guy-guy kissing tho... *shudder* Anyways, tomorrow is Saturday. Is it gonna rain? Now forecasts say no. Maybe i will go to the PreludeOnline.com beach BBQ for a little... i really should wash my car. * * * * *Friday, November 23, 2001My sister said she saw Mr. Kim and his fiancé shopping at Vons today. I wanted to see for myself, but when i went searching for him i couldn't find him anywhere in the store. I guess he left before i found him. I just thought that was pretty hilarious. Pretty random huh? Well, thanksgiving wasn't much of a family thing this year. More of a friend thing... at least for me. My mom decided not to cook this year since we got invited by David's mom to eat at their house this year. A lot of their relatives were eating there too, but it's all good cuz apparently they remembered me... i just didn't kno who the heck they were. Hahah... i found out later they all knew my mom back when we lived in Chinatown when i was barely a year old. Guess that's the main reason why i didn't kno who they were. It was a fun get-together nonetheless... I didn't eat much at David's house tho. I had eaten earlier at Sandy's house. I didn't plan to, but they stuck me with some food anyway. It was really nice seeing Sandy and the rest of her family. I haven't seen them in a long time so i felt kinda bad leaving after only visiting for a few hours, but at least me and Sandy are going out for dinner tomorrow nite. We'll catch up with "us" over dinner. It's great getting back in touch with old friends. I even started talking to Claudia again after so many years of.. "wonder what's going on with peeps that i knew back in H.S.??" Hmm.. wonder who's next? =) So far it's been a pretty good week. 3-day school week... finished my lab in 2 days... got back in touch with a couple people... good food... not bad i'd say... not bad at all =) Wonder what the next few days will be like... it's gonna rain saturday... wonder if Kel still wants her car washed =P * * * * *Wednesday, November 21, 2001Sorry everyone... posts have been VERY infrequent these past few days. I just haven't had anything interesting to write about... unless you wanna hear about my boring school days. =P Anyways, NO ONE was at school today. I only had 2 classes today and there was at most 20 people in my classes... BOTH COMBINED! Oh well.. had the TA all to myself...hehehhe, BONUS! Finished my Java program, went to psych discussion, and met up with Kelly to give her a ride back home to the ghettoness of our home city. Other than those couple highlights..nothing much to talk about. Oh... S squared ( ask me if you don't know )... got chewed out! Hahha... he deserved it. Anyways... not much else to talk about. Have a Happy Thanksgiving ya'll and don't eat too much! * * * * *Tuesday, November 20, 2001I couldn't believe how easy my Java quiz was today. 10 minutes and i was done, just that it took me another 15-20 minutes to check if i had the right output. It was just too easy, so i didn't believe that i had done it right. I asked the TA so many questions, i think he got pissed... hehe..oh well, that's why i pay thousands of dollars for education ( yup..to piss the TA's off...hehehe ). I got out a little early and i remembered i needed to pick up tomorrow's psych lecture notes. Being the lazy bum i am, i decided to drive down to the student center instead of walking. After picking up the notes, it was only 11am and i had nothing to do until my next class at 6pm and started wondering what i was gonna do. Then i saw a familiar face walking by... it was Kelly! Yay! We went to Jack-in-the-Box to grab some lunch. I got a free Jack Holiday Ball with my Sourdough Combo =) While we were eating, H.S. kids from I.H.S. (I assume the "I" stands for Irvine) started to pour into the restaurant. We noticed everyone kinda knew each other even tho they were in different cliques. How typical of H.S. I felt surrounded... we left in a hurry, hehe. After lunch we went back to Kel's dorm and just kinda chilled, slept a lil, and did whatevers. ( Seriously... we gotta start thinking of stuffs to do =)) Then we went on a Diedrich's Coffee run at 5:30 right before my class. Class was boring as usual... but an interesting thing was that i bumped into Sharon Mah after class was over. Hahha... kinda weird how i was talking to Kelly about her earlier =P. Blah.. very tired.. dunno why... gonna go bed early today... *GASP* * * * * *Sunday, November 18, 2001I'm actually supposed to be going over my JAVA program right now... but obviously... that's not going very well =). I'm starting to revert back to my old sleeping habits from the summer, meaning i'm going to bed around 4am and waking up around 12-1pm. I gotta change that. Good thing i have classes to help set me straight during the week, although the bad part is that even tho it makes we wake up early so that i'm hella fricken-A tired so i can sleep earlier at night... i'm still sleeping kinda late... around 2-3am. *shrug* Oh well. Only 3 days of school this week. Yay! Hey people.. remind me not to eat too much during Thanksgiving dinner... i don't feel like being a slob this weekend. I gotta wake up earlier and do something... maybe i'll wash my car this weekend. Dang.. it's so dirty because of the heavy fog from last nite. It looked like it had rained from looking at my car. Well.. wet car + garage parking = wet-dusty-dirty car. Crap. I'll wash it this weekend. * * * * *After a one day absense from blogging... my weekend is still uneventful, so not much to talk about. Oh the life i live as a college student. Anyways, Friday was just a day of being a bum. Normally fridays are the days we go out to do something, but no one called anyone. I guess mainly cuz Johnny had a group project. Now Johnny, i'm not blaming you for us not doing anything, so don't go all psycho on me now. It's mainly cuz if it's just me and Pook, we don't really have much to do. Two people going out with no idea of what to do kinda sucks. Hahah.. so having a third person kinda makes it more festive =) and Sunny never hangs out anymore. It's like Minah 24-7. Well.. can't blame the guy. It's his girlfriend. I kno i'd be *almost* the same way. I say *almost* cuz i'd at least try to set aside some time with the fellas and i'm pretty sure my girlfriend (if i had one) would want to spend time wiith her respective friends. *AHEM*-Sunny. Elgin is just out with Steph all the time. Oh well.. at least we did something tonite. We saw Monster's Inc.! Well.. "we" consisted of the four of us, sans Sunny =P Yay.. first movie i've seen since Rush Hour 2 came out. I kno... DAYUM... LONG TIME! I thought the movie was pretty funny. Not as funny as what i've been hearing.. but i'd say fairly entertaining... mainly cuz there were so many instances where we were able to make fun of Pooks. HAHHAHA.... After the movie, we went to In-n-Out. I got fries and a vanilla shake. Hehe... have any of you ever tried fries with ice cream? GOOD STUFFS! All ya'll haters are missin' out. At first it was pretty boring. I actually slept for a good 15 minutes while she lectured. It's all good. Didn't miss much. Have lecture notes. =) Anyways, i woke up disoriented and wondered where we were in the notes... that didn't work out very well, so i just started to daydream again. Of the few times i was actually listening before going off to my personal dreamland, i overheard the professor talking about attractive people. Attractive people usually get a lot of attention and that people tend to do things for them and buy them gifts and such. I started thinking how closely this mental picture she was drawing for us resembled "Gold-Digging"...uh...girls.. hehe. Then she said, "Attractive people tend to get *free rides*." Hahhaha..ok.. now with the mental picture that was in my head... what do you think i was thinking about?? Apparently a handful of other students were thinking the same thing as i heard scattered chuckles in the lecture hall. =P * * * * *Kel.. you're a freak =) I'm too tired to blog much. Half my week is already done considering i only go to school 4 days out of the week. Next week is another shortened school week due to the two day Thanksgiving Holiday. So another 3 day school week. =) NICE! However, you may think i have it easy these two weeks, but oh are you wrong... I have a lab exam for ICS 21 next monday, which means i only have one more LARC session before i get quizzed on the current lab assignment. Also, because of the Thanksgiving holiday, i'm losing yet another LARC session, which leaves me with only one session before the following Lab quiz. Then guess what? The week after that is finals! I'll write more than normal today to make up for my 2-day MIA. So yah.. pooks' birthday was on Tuesday ( 11/6/01 ), but he didn't celebrate it until Friday nite ( 11/9/01 ). It wasn't much of a party... it was more of a get-together of a few friends. It was Pook, Czrena & Julia (two of Pooky's Girl....Friends, hehe), Johnny and his friend Thanh from USC, Sunny & Minah, Me & my friend David. Hmm.. Deja Vu? Hahahaha... flashback to my 21st birthday party. Not too many people show up when invited. But see, the sorry thing is that i actually invited about 50+ people and only 18 showed. I don't think Pooky intended on inviting that many. Dang.. i can't throw parties. What happened?!?! My 18th birthday party was great! We even had a live singing group: SAI - Seven Asian Immigrants! WOOHOO! Damn.. that was crazy. Johnny, Pooky, Raymond, Daisuke, Aaron, Brian G., and Brian Sim were the original seven making up SAI singing an acapella version of "Say You'll Stay" by KAI. Then at the party a few others joined the group. I foget who tho. I still have a video of that performance. I think i wanna go watch that again. Anyways, back to Pooky's party... we basically just ate, got messed up and started saying/doing stupid things, and laughing our asses off. Hehe..it's all in good fun. Party pretty much ended around 2:30am when everyone left cept Czrena, Julia, and me. I didn't wanna drive home so i crashed on the sofabed in the living room while the rest of them were upstairs. Lemme tell ya... sofabeds ARE NOT comfortable. I couldn't sleep till 6am! Oh well.. it's all good, i still feel asleep after a while and woke up at 12:30pm, ate some party left-overs and came home to shower. I already have pictures on my hard-drive since we used a digital camera to take most of the pics. I'll get em up as soon as i get off my lazy butt and upload em. Just went to class and came home. Traffic is getting worse and worse. I got cut-off by about 6 cars today! Conspiracy i tell you! Just watch... i'm gonna go out in my Prelude outfitted with my lift-kit, oversized tires, Anti-spoiler, and bullet holes for ventilation, and just run over everyone. Yah.. that'll be the day... =) * * * * *Wednesday, November 07, 2001Back in ICS lab. I don't even know why i'm here. I can do all this stuff at home since i DO have a PC with a Java program. Oh well.. i guess actually coming to class makes me work. It's not not like i ask the TA anything. I haven't yet... and my lab session is already over. My TA is over there chatting with one of the students asking if there are any bars around here. Hmmm.... freshman i see. If you've been here for at least a year, you kno where all the bars are.... cuz they're EVERYWHERE! We got one on campus for cryin' out loud. Anthill Pub baby... very popular hangout during finals week. Hmm.... psych discussion at 1pm. Hmmmmm... should i go? April says i shouldn't. But Kelly says i should. I'm torn between two opinions!!! Crap. I DON'T WANNA!!!!! There's no point in going. I just took a midterm so there's no new material to cover, the TA is boring and he might not even show up, it's 11:10am, the discussion is at 1 so i gotta wait for another 2 hours, and i'm getting hungry. Like i said... conspiracy. Damn Bad Drivers Too! * * * * *Saturday, November 03, 2001Hahaha... my uncle sent me this... Bin Laden Can't Run Or Hide. * * * * *Awww.. no more AEM intake for my car. Back to stock engine. Don't worry, plenty of time to mess with the car. For right now, it's just a means of getting me from point A to point B. I spent a good part of the day just kickin' it at Elevated Pro-Tuning. If you have no idea what i'm talking about, it's an Import performance accessory shop my friend's lil bro set up. It's in it's beginning stages, so it's not making much money.. but it's getting there. He's getting all these different sponsers and getting free stuff for his car and shop. So much free stuff that i might get in on some of it! Woohoo!!! So maybe by Christmas i'll have a new set of rims to roll on. 5Zigen Copse in bronze.. hellz yea. And maybe a small body kit to match. Like i said.. plenty of time. As for the rest of my day... not much. Just played CS at Pooky's house and then met up with Johnny and rented Dr. Dolittle 2. Pretty funny movie... lot's of inside jokes we related to =P So a rather uneventful day, and i gotta wake up early for a 10am - 12pm review session. I don't wanna gooooooo! * * * * *Thursday, November 01, 2001My posts are beginning to slip a little again. These past few days i've just been busy with trying to get my Java program to work and i had to take the quiz for it yesterday morning. I think i passed. I dunno tho, my TA finally emailed me back yesterday so i didn't even get the mail until 1:30am this morning. Oh well.. the program compiled and it worked in lab. It's over...now all i gotta do is wait and see. Besides.. i have another midterm to worry about that's coming up Tuesday. Yay... psych... =P Yay... review session Saturday... crap. Now i gotta waste a Saturday to go to a review session. I don't understand why the professor can't have it Friday nite or something. Oh well.
